Melvin Fabicio Acevedo Alvarado Accident: Man Died in Shelby County Crash

Conroe — With heavy hearts, the community is mourning the tragic loss of Melvin Fabicio Acevedo Alvarado, 32, who was killed in a motorcycle crash in Shelby County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the crash occurred around 6:57 p.m. Monday on Shelby County 10 near Shelby County 22, approximately three miles north of Montevallo. Authorities said Alvarado was riding a Kawasaki Ninja 400 ABS motorcycle when it collided head-on with a Nissan Pathfinder.

Investigators reported that Alvarado was thrown from the motorcycle on impact and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV, identified as Arriaga Alejandro Gonzalez, 45, of Montevallo, was injured and transported to Baptist Health Shelby Hospital for treatment.

The sudden loss has left family, friends, and loved ones grieving deeply. Those who knew Melvin remember him as a cherished son, friend, and valued member of the Conroe community whose life was cut short far too soon.
